Welcome to the Borough of Little Silver, a community of approximately 6,000 residents in eastern Monmouth County.Little Silver has an outstanding school system, is a stone's throw to New Jersey's beaches, and has direct train service to Manhattan. Our town has a proud history, with the Lenni Lenape tribe among its earliest settlers, and is friendly, prosperous and vibrant.

Garage Sale Weekend May 4th & 5th
The Borough will be holding its first town wide Garage Sale Weekend May 4th and 5th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Residents will not be required to obtain a permit for the event but will need to call Borough Hall at 732-842-2400 to register their address. The Borough will advertise the event in the Two River Times, Asbury Park Press, on Facebook, Constant Contact, Electronic sign and the Borough website. Maps of all registered addresses will be available at Borough Hall, the Library and on the Borough website and Facebook two days prior to the event.

Registration will be from April 1st through April 29th. Registrations received after the 29th will not be included on the map.
2016 Homestead Rebate Credit
The 2016 Homestead Benefit credit will be applied against the 2nd quarter tax payments due May 1st. Revised tax bills for eligible residents were mailed March 25th. Please remit the reduced tax amount with the revised bill stub. If you did not receive the revised bill, please call the Tax Office at 732-219-0812 for the correct amount due. Thank you.
Attention High School Seniors!
Apply Now for the Little Silver Charitable Foundation Annual $1,000 Scholarship. Open to all Little Silver high school seniors.

Each year, the LSCF awards a $1,000 college scholarship to any high school senior who resides in Little Silver. Applicants are required to write an essay (500 words or less) answering the question: "What is special about growing up in Little Silver?"

To be considered, please submit your essay to: [email protected] before the deadline of June 1, 2019. The LSCF will review all essays and notify the winner in June, 2019. Visit to learn more about the Little Silver Charitable Foundation.

Recycling Guide
Monmouth County Recycling has published a new “Resident’s Recycling Guide” booklet. It contains a vast amount of recycling information. Copies are available in Borough Hall and the Library.
Special Needs Registry (pdf)
The Monmouth County Special Needs Registry is a voluntary program open to all citizens with disabilities or special needs who reside, attend school, or are employed in Monmouth County.

Commercial Landscapers are required to obtain a license to do business in the Borough of Little Silver. 2016 License applications can be downloaded here or are available at the Borough Clerk’s office Monday thru Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Trash is to be placed to the curb the night before a scheduled pick up.

Three (3) bulk Items are allowed on the 2nd pick up of the week. Only furniture and carpeting are allowed for bulk pick up.  All other items must go to the Monmotuh County Reycling Center.
